"OLLI at DU Board Games" is a Shared Interest Group, SIG, free with your OLLI at DU Annual Membership.

" Are you interested in playing some classic board games or learning a new game? Join us! We will be meeting twice a month on Friday afternoons, 1-4pm, at the Enchanted Grounds, 3615 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80123 near OLLI South. People are encouraged to bring a game they would like to share with the group and Enchanted Grounds also has some games that we can borrow if we want to try something new. "OLLI at DU Chess Club" is a Shared Interest Group, SIG, free with your OLLI at DU Annual Membership.

Join your fellow OLLI members Tuesday afternoons at the Bean Fosters Coffee House in Golden (720 Golden Ridge Rd, Golden, CO 80401) from 12:45 to 4:45 for open play. You can play in the early session 12:45 – 2:45 or the 2nd session 2:45 – 4:45 or both.

Play interest is solicited each week and players assigned according to their interest and ability as best we can. 

The venue is free but the coffee house does depend on some folks buying coffee and/or food.

OLLI chess class teachers Bob Magnani and Mel Mandel play as well as several former OLLI class participants. We encourage players of all levels to join. You must know how to play (at any level) - this club is not for those who want to learn chess from scratch. But, if you DO want to learn, contact us and we may, if there is enough interest, again offer a beginner's Chess class at OLLI.

"OLLI at DU Hiking Group" is a Shared Interest Group, SIG, free with your OLLI at DU Annual Membership.

Please join fellow OLLI members on walks and hikes around Metro Denver!

SCHEDULE: August Walks & Hikes 

A NOTE FROM PAM: I am looking forward to seeing many of you on our walks and hikes together. Get out your hiking shoes and poles if you use them for the hikes. For the hikes, be sure to wear hiking boots or hiking shoes with plenty of traction.Walking shoes won't work for the hikes. Remember, it's summer, and you'll need plenty of water. On the hikes, those little plastic bottles are not enough! I tried to chose hikes with shade.

On the hikes, let me know the night before if you will be joining us. Please remember to send me a text message if you are running late, and we will wait for you.

Do you enjoy the Opera? Join together with other OLLI peers who do too! Members of the OLLI at DU Opera Shared Interest Group will:

• Enjoy talks about operas.
• Take trips to see operas locally.
• Take trips to see operas out of town.
• Meetup to talk about the Metropolitan Opera's "Live in HD" series broadcast to many local movie theaters.

"OLLI at DU Mahjong" is a Shared Interest Group, SIG, free with your OLLI at DU Annual Membership.

Come play Mahjong with OLLI peers. For people who have taken the OLLI Mahjong Instruction Classes or are looking for a place to play the game, our group will meet twice a month from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, on Wednesdays at Acoya Cherry Creek (an OLLI partner) 301 S Harrison Street.

We focus on fostering Intellectual Development and Creating Collective Consciousness of women’s issues in today’s world. Members bring their interests/concerns/questions for the group to research, explore, discuss and/or present.

We will meet 10 am to noon every 4th Thursday of the month at Ross Library at University Hills, 4310 E. Amherst Ave., Denver.
